Listed below are profiles of the bands that will be participating in the Morenci Town & Country Festival Battle of the Bands on June 28th, 2008.  The winner of the battle will be determined by which band receives the most votes from the free tickets that will be given to the audience as they enter the arena that day.  The winner will win $500 and play on stage that evening after the fireworks until closing.

About Kevlar

 We are known as Kevlar. We have been playing together for almost 3 years now and we have been through a lot.  We started with Eric Waldron singing with us, then we had Alex Burton sing with us. Right now we do not have a study singer but we have structured sound. For the battle of the bands, we will have Sage Rivers come all the way from Iowa to sing and play guitar with us. We are very excited to be playing and are hoping for the best.

About the band:

Shattered Silhouette consists of   Shattered Silhouette formed after the break up of Chris and Jame’s old band, Angle of Devotion.  Soon they recruited Lino Mirelez to play guitar.  After there old bass player/singer quit the band, shattered Silhouette brought formar leonidas singer Sean Baughey in to play.  After coming back from college, Joe Mirelez watched his brother play several shows.  Joe soon stepped in to fill the much needed low end.

About Chasing Chaos

Chasing Chaos is a South Michigan band. We started out when guitarists Blake, Brett, and bassist Chase started jamming together. We started to write full songs and thought we should make a band. With ex- drummer Kyle Perkins, we started practicing with the four of us, with Kyle at drums, Chase on the bass, Brett on guitar, and Blake rounding off with lead vocals and guitar. We started to practice and Blake realized that with the songs we had, he couldn't sing and play well at the same time. So the search for a new singer began. We wound up choosing Jozzy, the only female member. Then, we had to let Kyle go because he wasn't focused enough. So we had current drummer Steve Tennis give it a shot and he rocked the audition. Unfortunately, we had some problems within the band that caused some conflicts. As of 4-30-08, due to those conflicts, Jozzy was removed from the band. We started looking for a singer and had to look no further than across the street as rocker and musical virtuoso, David Hall was placed in the singer spot, adding along the capacity for piano among other things. With our current lineup we are ready to take the music scene by storm. Watch out, cause here we come

Bio:
We are a band of small turmoil. We started out as Chris, Sheldon, Ryan, and Andrew. Chris was forced to leave after a few months due to personal problems, so we decided to recruit Alex. Just recently Chris has gotten the chance to return. So with our new guitar trio we plan to rock hard and win out overall.

About Us:

Evan, Baker, Andrew from Waldron and Joe from Hudson are the creatures of STEREO STATIC! With the mixture of classic, heavy, punk rock and hip hop becomes the static sound that comes from STEREO STATIC. It’s about having a good time and having the music do the rest! Stereo Static started playing music back on May 2008.

JUST FOR FUN
was put together in May 2008 as a group, even though some of us have played together in church groups and Praise and worship
bands in years past and present, Denny Altaffer is from Bryan, Ohio and has been playing Guitar and bass for years, Trevor Lawson is thirteen years old and is the drummer for his church's Praise band, also from Bryan, Ohio,
Jamie Clark is from Morenci, Michigan and plays bass for his church's praise and worship band,  Dennis Collins is from Pioneer, Ohio and plays guitar for
his church's praise and worship band.  We are very excited to be a part of this battle of the bands, and hope that GOD gets all the glory from what we do.
